Toy Aussie Breed Description

A Toy Australian Shepherd (also known as a Toy Aussie) are petite weighing 10 to 18 pounds as adults, and 10 to 14 inches tall. They are hardy little dogs with athleticely built bodys. Toy Aussie's coats are medium length low maintenance and their fur can be straight or wavy.

Toy Aussie's are very intelligent and have the desire to please which makes them very easy to train. They are playful, sociable, affectionate, and protective of their loved ones. Toy Australian Shepherds are also very friendly with strangers and get along well with other dogs and pets. Aussie's are enthusiastic, good-natured, and are not known to be aggressive. As with all dogs, they still need the benefit of exercise such as a a walk or play session to keep them healthy and fit. This dog is suited for just about anyone and will do well with either a single person or a family, they are extremely intelligent and highly trainable. They have a lifespan of approximately 12 – 15 years.

Toy Australian Shepherds come in a variety of colors such as Black Tricolor, Red Tricolor, Blue Merle, Red Merle, and also in the rare color yellow.
